Man, jealous of your Endless Space award (how you get?). Back to the story: Yes, that makes a lot more sense, but don't forget to explain how they captured the ship and crew! But yes, it will be hard distinguishing the clones fleet and the real UUR. Angry Sophon commanders going buccaneer? Me likey smiley: twisted And the hunt for the clone will break into a lot more stories as well! And it will create big unrest between Sophon and UUR, raiding even after they pay compensation. And this will play part with the earlier idea of Horatio secretly helping both sides (can't remember if they changed their minds about it) Well time to write the full version, and when the leaders/other posters come on, they will do their own fixes and then it will get added in smiley: smile

Edit: I changed it to break INTO a lot more stories, in case you refresh before I did that.

After the attempted murder of the Emperor in 3691, The UE have plotted to get a chance to strike back at the UUR. A double, was set to take a trip through several front worlds to attempt to raise morale for the Empire's war against the UUR. A set of the "Emperor's" plans to tour several systems were discovered by UR spies in January of 3727. Using the itinerary of the Emperor's journey, a mid sized force under the command of an up and coming Admiral Adams, took care of the UE fleet sent to await the Emperor over the empty system of Zek to await the Emperor's arrival. As the ships accompanying and the Emperor's ships entered the system, the UR fleet immediately opened fire destroying and the ships guarding the Emperor's vessel. From there, the fleet disabled the Emperor's flagship and began to board in an attempt to capture the Emperor. Once again, a number of Sheredyn guarded the Emperor, as the fight reached the bridge the Sheredyn gave the signal to commence the trap.

A large UE fleet under the command of the Admiral Djenk moved to capture and disable the Admiral's ship. The UUR admiral, with a significantly larger UE fleet at his back, tried to face the UE fleet as ship after ship were either disabled or destroyed. The UE had made sure that communications had been cut, from there the remaining ships were disabled. Staring death in the face, the UUR admiral ordered a fight to the death, corridor, after corridor, ship to ship were filled with the blood of UUR servicemen as the UE's spec ops made their way through. Wounding, Admiral Adams to keep him from committing suicide, he was taken captive.

From there a Adams, was brought before the Horatio, whom were promised a good sum of gold if they allowed the UE to clone him. Quick set of repairs were made to the Admiral's ship, "Unity" and a clone of Admiral Adams was prepared for an assault of a Sophon system. With a dozen of captured UUR ships, including the Admiral's assaulted a lightly defended system. The resulting blockade, and the subsequent images of a UUR Admiral firing indiscriminately at civilian centers would leave huge ramifications for the UUR.

Months of negotiating went on, but by June of 3727, the UUR agreed to pay huge reparations for killing billions over the course of several months as well as causing great infrastructure damage, they were to as well bring the infamous Admiral Adams to justice . However several factions weren't happy and continued to attack UUR systems, or ships both civilian and military.

not too sure bout the award thing.

Either we have to edit a few dates, or add in more content, because I uploaded info on the Cult of Zend (SORRY OP! I COULDN'T RESIST!) and had to fix the dates because they were contradicting the written lore.

Sorry I can't do much myself, I came into the forum a few days late XP and have probably pissed off the OP for editing and posting my idea without his permission, as well as the fact that I'm tired for the day smiley: cry

Holy cow this thing exlpoded XD

Don't worry about editing previously-created pages. If you want to add or change something go right ahead, as long as it's okay with the original author (or you ARE the original author) and it doesn't contradict previous info.

I really like the Lapen crusade, good job on that.

The only time we really need to post on the forums and discuss is when we're adding a new event, just to make sure everything flows correctly. Other than that, don't worry about adding stuff to the wiki. If we find that it doesn't work, we can edit or delete it.

What I was thinking was to instigate the craver civil war you mentioned. Imbalance of power created by Dust events(either on a queen(s) or some sort of Endless hulk which can be jury rigged by the swarm) and during that war the loser rather then accepting what happens chooses to flee en mass into (unkown to them) other races colonised space(thinking either sophons or a UE ally's (probably UE ally seeing as atm they are doing very well :P) ) drawing the Rebels/UE into assissting them diverting strength from the war with the other side.

IDK but having only one part of the swarm drawn into conflict seems like a good idea at first as its not too spaceageddon and still a very real threat to the other races.

and stasik, that battlefleet gothic art is my lockscreen smiley: biggrin

do you mind if I copied that page into a word processor and went through it and made small alterations? Its great but when I write stories I seem to do best working within someone elses adding detail and small things

I say word document because I'll forward you the result so you have the final decision

I've been away too long it seems, though it's really only been a day or so a lot can happen in that time!

Love the Empire's duplicate idea, makes for some interesting confrontations, and conversations on the Republic's side smiley: sweat. As Alsojames said feel free to add whatever you want. When it says fan made/run, it doesn't mean just a few fans, we want new contributors and ideas as well.

And remember we have a thousand years to make this war last! Controlling the timeline is probably our biggest challenge.

We could tie this in with souring Sophon relations due to the Zend cult as well, it's in the same time frame. Maybe make the Sophons break all trade communications with the Republic?

Maybe UE spies start noticing less sophons and guess that their ties to the UUR was broken? And so they start sending several fleets to a couple of systems, spreading the UUR's resources causing them to beg for help, whilst none is being given!

And haha! Also in BC Javarino?

Haha Sweet! Yea no problem, as I was writing it, I had so much detail in my mind I had to remember this isn't a novel. And I feel the same, ideas flowed so freely when I wrote the Cult of Zend with a few extra details to help. But my god, when I compared the edit and original, WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SPELLING! Either way, go ahead! I'll try to create some more battles for the start of the rebellion I think.

I am a bit confused by the situation. Tell me if I am wrong about the following plot threads.

* The UE scored a significant naval victory over the UUR in 3727ish, then had a clone of the UUR admiral commit a bunch of atrocities.

* Zelevas' bioweapons program is starting to be deployed.

* The Sophons have ended their friendship with the UUR due to the 1st incident on this list and the whole Zend rebellion fiasco.

Is this correct?
