I feel like I keep saying I'll do stuff for the next week and then my other work seems to get in my way stopping me. Fun.

I've got my tech ideas up: Garden Worlds, Planetary Construction: Artificial Globes, DXX-172 Defense Grids, Robust Infrastructure and "Efficient Structures".

I'm going to work on lore right now since I'm all tired out from doing the rest of all my art for my higher unit within a week to send to the SQA so I haven't really got any new drawing concepts done.

Tell me what you think about the techs.

Also, lore wise now, there is a Concrete Endless residing on the Draconian's home-world who has watched over them for a *while*, plan on making him be the big popular guy before the time of the Dust Wars and then goes into isolation to help hide the species he has over watched for years from the Dust Wars and then reappears shortly after the Hissho colonists appear and help unlock his "workshop" with the Draconian's - where he became detached from the world after being locked in. He has influenced the Draconian way of life but had not "made" the Draconian's, instead he found them and nurtured their growth by being an oracle/guiding hand of sorts. Almost a religious figure, calls himself The Grand Architect or The Gardener; in any case a rogue concrete Endless who went tangent to everyone else and wanted nothing to do with the Dust Wars when it started.

The "Tohari" is governed by a series of councils lead by a high council residing over the Home-World which is figure-headed by a leader. The councils are made up of high end Engineers, Diplomats, Scientists, Generals and others; while the high council is composed of similar elements but with "The Grand Architect" and the Emperor or Empress - all decisions are made by these councils and the efficient cooperation between the elements of the "Tohari" make this possible as issues can be pushed towards one side in a push towards a common goal and selflessness can be achieved.

Hissho sketch up. Going to try to learn layers and use them to get a finished product. Probably will become a "hero". For now this is the general idea for a field commander or a platoon leader.

Tell me what you think.

I messed about with the concept for a while and then i realize i have very little experience with layers and mouse drawing, the grand flaw in my master-plan - sure I can layer a sphere during testing but that's one of the easiest things to make look spherical. Looks like I will limit myself to line drawings until i get more experience with drawing software.

Only way you'll get that experience is by doing it and doing it often. DOn't sweat the outcome, just keep practicing.

Looks good!

Also, I have a question: the Tohari will have both Hissho and Draconian hero, right?

Why yes, I will probably have a few concepts. One Hissho, one Draconian and one as a double team of win.

Here's an update for my Tohari Hero sketch - I've been ill and busy with exams so I've kind of taken a break.

Once again tell me what you think, it is of course unfinished but hey I thought I would leave some sort of update after 2 weeks - my computing exam is tomorrow so... yeah.

By unfinished I mean that there's a lot of tonal work to get done.

Maybe tomorrow I'll send in some form of update... such as more unfinished work that will probably be finished at a later date; maybe a Tohari cityscape, an update on the cruiser, "The Gardeners" view and certainly the Tohari's 20ft long pole approach to dust, engineering projects into converting dust into useful mundane substances, maybe even some actual work on the lore again! Ah the Toh's and the Ari's maybe both of you will get work done on you.

Due to the open casket of the Harmony now it has given me some ideas to make the Tohari more interesting. After Disharmony is released I will look at the various traits and of course the Harmony themselves to grab what I can and update the main page more - by the way I just did. I am playing around with the idea of a serious dust income cut while supporting that with lower building and ship maintenance; this creates some problems such as the viability to buyout or retrofit and of course Heroes. "Normal" income comes back with the Spendthrifts - on top with the discovery of Whitesun Dust Converters - or "Insert Science-y Name Here" - which allows the Tohari to function with a proper deposit of "mundane dust" which can be used in construction and currency but also to convert it back because their trading partner just loves spice... i mean dust.

The question i have is that if the other heroes outside of the Tohari ideal and you have to use dust to hire them would... hiring them simply be more expensive or... since you are not really using dust, to ban certain enhancements in the ability tree that are dust related such as the battle actions, add replacement enhancements or create something else entirely? I want heroes or system admins, ship commanders and so on but I don't know what to do about them.

I think the taking out of dust in the equation or putting less focus on it is an interesting concept. Certainly, the benefits of using dust being taken away or changed adds an interesting spin for any race.
