Had a pretty easy and peaceful game, for the most part, almost came to war with Beowulf a couple of times, but always managed to get him to back away. However, I forgot that the game was on Blitz and made the mistake of picking the French to go for the late techs. I managed to get one scientist star when I was greeted with the message that the game was ending in 25 turns and I realized I was in 3rd place. I kept trying to get more stars but I didn't have time for a second one, so 10 turns left I see that I have an overflow of influence. I quickly switched to the contemporary era with the Egyptians (I started with the Egyptians) and got one aesthetic star putting me back in first place. With three turns left I get back to second, and with most stars too far to get, I declare war on Oligarch Beowulf of the Soviets and manage to get enough kills to get a military star and win the game. Intense final moments.
