The wonders at the start made me huge stats, I never had a problem with stability all game. Zhou also gave me the influence to get all my early territory. Only complaint is that I could not seem to get the all resources thing, any of the continent related things. There is a single hex territory at the top of the map that only has a coal on in and so an outpost cannot be created, I think that might be causing the continent things.
