As others mentioned, the fame points for mapping the entire map ("no stone unturned"?), mapping an entire continent and so on are still bugged (and have been since the game launched as far as I remember). In this particular game Machu Pichu got bugged after I conquered the territory that was building it.

I might give it it another try since after turn 125 it was impossible for me to get any more fame points:

I had a weak ancient era with the hittites (they're still far from great, and they were the only option available because I stayed too long in the neolithic) and I paid for it. I might go for world conquest next time, we'll see.

I reckon going for world domination is a better strategy, but I got tired of wars at some point.
