Late game performance issues..

Will humankind will be better than EL played on big maps with many empires?

I am concerned about the performance issues on late game...

You must not dream.


EL was released in 2014. A game that comes out 6 years later will necessarily be much more greedy.


I would have liked to test Humandkind for Amplitude, since I played a lot at EL (3000 hours). But my current PC will never support this game.

The performance issues in late game came just as much from AI pathfinding errors than from actual strain on the system. If you play ELCP you wil see that these are much reduced. However...Necrophages with their many unit armies are still a problem. 


Although I don't know of any human faction in history that eats its enemies and transforms them into a different unit for use as a soldier.

Yeah I think too in EL the lag mostly come from Minor Factions roaming around and AI big armies. 

In normal/small/tiny maps I rarely have lag issues.

Even in ELCP the perfromance starts to tank around mid game regardless, whethere it's because of the amount of ai or just general optimization who knows.

Late A.I should be the worry based on how they left ES2 with little work in area for a while.

I've just taken to playing smaller maps. For me at least bigger does not equal more fun usually it just makes it feel exhausting
