As we have just released a beta version for the upcoming Bonny Update, we want to share some notes on the changes, additions, and bugfixes, as well as known issues.

Caribbean Pirates culture: Early Modern culture with two emblematic units
Three new contemporary ship types: Destroyers, Diesel Submarines, Frigates
Several new infrastructures that boos Resource Deposit yields
"Poaching" action for armies: Steal strategic and luxury resources from enemy trade routes
[Changes]
Naval units, air units, and missiles rebalanced: Higher CS, greater range, higher speed, depending on unit
Naval battle ranged retaliation: naval units return fire when shot at by other ships
Internal Trade: Resources are now transported to your capital by trade routes
International trade: All international trade now connects capitals to create clear and valuable trade routes
Larger resource deposits: Most resource deposits now provide more than 1 copy of the resource
Rebalanced luxury resource effects: Luxuries now have separate bonuses for the first copy and additional copies
Strategic Resource Requirements: A single copy of each required resource is now enough, but cost will increase if requirements are not met
Economic rebalance: Various infrastructures, unit costs, and empire bonuses were rebalanced to account for the new resource system
[Fixes based on Community Feedback]
Land units no longer retain their special abilities when embarked
Fixed an issue where international crisis could not be resolved if war had already been declared
Fixed a pending turn after signing an Intelligence Agreement with the AI
Fixed a critical error when bombarding a City Center during a siege
Fixed several missing tooltips in the Civics screen
Santa Maria del Fiore now receives religious bonuses as stated
Independent People now build infrastructure in their cities
DMZ ability tooltip no longer incorrectly refers to Trestpassing status
Fixed wrong tooltip messages when trying to bombard a target out of range
Placement preview of Famers Quarters can be wrong, especially when owning the Pyramid of the Sun
Fixed a wrong effect on the "Process" choice of the event "The Human Cost"
Known Issues
Trade Route visualization is cut off at the world wrap
Nuclear test exclusion zones do not match the generated wasteland
Regular districts cannot be replaced with an embassy
Resources lost from Poaching are assigned to the wrong empire
The "Hostile" filter on the trade view does not work properly
Clicking on resource pins does not open the trade view
Vassals can trade independently of their liege
Merchant affinity active ability may not work properly

While the new update is super cool, is it possible to finish old games with the old ruleset? Feels weird to load up a game after a week and have luxuries give different yields, have a trade rework, etc in the middle of an ongoing game. Is there any work around for this?

Yes, you have to go to steam->humankind->settings->betas->choose previous brunch
hahah whoa there is a ton of stuff I didn't even know they had on the PC version. hey I respect what you guys are doing and I'm sorry if I ever gripe (I try to delete them before post!) about stuff on the Xbox version not working or needing tweaks. I get it, its not really an optimal machine for gaming anymore, unless you want corporatized "AAA" rnot good stuff.
You people keep up the great work! Stay honest about what we will get on Xbox and I can respect that cand maybe some day play it properly on PC. Its really Microsoft who has mislead me on what I have purchased for gaming, that is my belief, the problem is greed with consoles.
The one suggestion I have that I believe is very soundn and helpful, is the 100years scenario is a hit! It is so fun, and things like that or the ability to set up a real world historical scenario (at least MAPS) would extend the credibility and replayability of this game on consoles massively. It appears the ability is there with world seed generation, on creating a new game. ZGive us a list of world seeds that look like earth or various portions or whatever, I mean I cant really set up a game beyond varied random parameters (hot and wet/dry and wet, cliffs mountains everywhere or nowhere). etc you get what I mean.
You guys keep up the great worrk and some day I will sim the Norway Viking invasions of England and beyond! thanks
