So I fired up this game, for the first time in a month. Chose Olmecs as my Ancient civ when it came time. Prepared to use Cultural Blitz on one of my claimed territories. Hit the button, hovered over my selected territory and the pop-up indicated I would receive a princely sum of......... 30 Purple Stars.

WTF?

Came to this board and found out there had been a new update. The update notes indicated that "changes were made to Aesthetic civs so they would scale better", or something like that. So I assume this new update nerfed Cultural Blitz.

That's a huge nerf. In fact calling it a huge nerf is an understatement.

It's more like a complete and total castration.

Doing an exponetial reduction in the effectiveness of Cultural Blitz, literally leaves no reason to play as one of the Aesthetic civs as far as I can see, at least not one of the Ancient ones.

Really loved this game. Think it was really well designed, the civ changing through the ages is clever, the war support mechanic actually makes fighting wars way better and more realistic than any other civ-type game I've played.

But this new update sucks. Feels like after a year and a half I've had my legs kicked out from under me as far as a winning strategy on the higher difficulty levels

How can I remove this update?

Hey, totally understand that you are not a huge fan of the adjustment in the formula. Now it scales better but also before it was a bit "abusive" and generated a huge snowball to the player. We adjust things and while it is not the most "op" in the early game (compared to before), with all the changes in the civics, etc. defeinetly the aesthetic culture has a huge impact in the game.
