Dynasties and Multi-Era Cultures

Since we know that some cultures will be present in multiple forms across different eras, what are some good cultures that changed enough over time to be able to be present multiple times?

For instance, I read in one of the articles that China will likely have the Zhou Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, and PRC. I had wondered why they would not include the Han or Tang Dynasties, but it does make sense that the cultures would need to have changed enough that it feels like playing an entirely new faction. With that said, what do you think are some good cultures that could be present across multiple eras?

I think that having both the Romans and the Byzantines would be good, because while they considered themselves to be the same continuous empire, their geographical and cultural center had changed, as had their religion, military, and diplomatic relations. The Romans could have the Praetorians and maybe some kind of cheaply built fort as their EU and EQ, while the Byzantines could have the Dromon with greek fire and some kind of hippodrome maybe.

Persia would also be good at having multiple iterations. While the Achaenimids established the military prowess and approximate borders of Persia, making an excellent warmonger culture, the Sassanians are considered by some historians to be the cultural peak of Persia, with the development of Zoroastrianism and the building of impressive monuments. The Achaenemids could have satrapies as their EQ and their well trained standing army of Immortals as their EU, while the Sassanians could have their less well trained Paygan infantry who were nevertheless very good at seige tactics and mining under walls as their EU, and maybe a Zoroastrian fire temple or bagh garden as their EQ.

Or what about cultures that reappear in the modern day? I would be shocked if Japan didn't have both medieval and modern cultures, but what about Egypt, showing up as both Ancient Egypt under pharohs and modern day under Nasser, or Arabia, with medieval Islamic Abbasids and a modern Saudi petrostate?

What other cultures changed enough to warrant multiple factions?

Victorian England followed by a more modern United Kingdom could work, as could several periods in Indian history.

Hmm... Colonial USA, Frontier USA, Wild West USA, Modern USA?

(Might be biting off more then I can chew on this one...)

I've been wondering, which Englands (or other European powers) and which Indias would they have?

For England, it would probably make the most sense to have Renaissance England -> Industrial Victorian Britain -> Modern UK, with units like Red Coat -> Ship of the Line -> Spitfire, but I think I read they might do a medieval England with Longbows. Would that be in addition to or instead of the other eras? Also, what would the emblematic quarters be? The only UB I know for England from civ is Royal Navy Dockyard.

For India, Bronze Era Harrapans and Renaissance Era Mughals have been confirmed, and I would guess that Modern India with Ghandi-themed bonuses could be included as well, to show decolonization. Don't know what Modern Indian EUs or EQs could be though. That leaves the Mauryans in the Classical Era, who were in Civ and are the most famous use of war elephants. I think the Guptas or the Cholas could work in the Medieval Era, especially if there is some kind of religion system, but I don't know if they would be different enough from the Mauryans to be worth including, despite their historical significance in spreading Buddhism and Hinduism out of India.

I think Colonial USA would still fall under the England faction for the Renaissance Era, but an expansionist Fronteir/ Wild West USA with either Minutemen or a special Scout unit would definitely be good for the Industrial Era, along with a Modern USA with B52s. I could be wrong though, as I don't know how or if they will try to represent colonization and revolution. I think it would be cool if regions could break away like they did in Civ 6.
