This idea may be stupid or banal, but I still want to suggest it.

If the player does not move the mouse cursor for a while, then the avatar will appear on the screen and perform some actions.

As options:

- Dance (related to culture or just some fun).

- Playing musical instruments related to its culture.

- Trick detach thumb, pantomime, make faces, knock on monitor screen, gymnastics and so on.

- "error of era" (appeared with a plasti Cup of coffee in the bronze era, plays teliphone in the middle era and so on.)

A small element, but nice. And funny, of course.

P.S. Sorry for my English. :)

I think the idea is "stupid", but not the bad kind of stupid no, rather a fun "stupid" idea. AKA the idea doesn't make sense but why the hell not. Sorry in advance if the reply didn't see nice, Your English is very good(I don't care much about English as long as I can understand the English), and Have a good night(or day).

Hm, good idea! The background around the avatar crumbles and avatar says: «I took control of your computer. The machine revolt has begun! *ominous laughter*». :D

Thanks! In fact, my English is zero. I speak only Russian and very little German. Good English is online translate.

E.N.F.E.R. takes possession of HK avatar? This could be an epic "easter egg"!

So basically a screensaver? What if it zooms in to whatever the most interesting thing on the map is (a hot spring, a city, a military unit, whatever's closest to the middle but still a point of interest) and shows your avatar hanging out? They're relaxing in the hot spring or drilling the unit or trying out some of the grapes from the vinyard or climbing the natural wonder or helping to build the wonder. Show what's going on with your people.

Interesting option. But this will most likely also be shown through the screensaver. And it is better to make such screensavers for significant events. For example, after the construction of the wonder, the discovery of natural wonders, the victory in the war, the first discovery of hot springs and so on.

I think this is a neat idea. Wouldnt mind something similiar in that if the player goes afk or has no interaction for an amount of time, having something like Dinode said, where maybe the camera zooms and slowly rotates around points of interest (wonders natural or otherwise, recent contructions, etc) Kind of like what Civ 6 does when you finish making a wonder and it pans around the building as it is contructed and finished.

"Slowly rotating" sounds a bit boring. Imagine that you went away for 5 minutes, for example, to make tea. What will surprise you more? The camera revolves around Hanging Gardens or avatar performing Michael Jackson's moonwalk?

What about slowly rotating around the Hanging Gardens while your Avatar moonwalks on top?

Funny) But will the avatar be clearly distinguishable at this scale?

Depends on how closely it zooms in I guess.
