Minor Civilization Idea

Like there are in endless legend giving quest


 In early era these are small village and most them happy from you and most of them ask to join your empire  but, I want they should have traits and get named by traits and after village it form kingdom.


These traits are for a single era.


These small kingdom will have leader with traits such as


Merchant Republic: These min civ are known as merchant republic. These minor civ will try to gain control on nearby trade and will like to give good amount of gold or expensive resource as reward. These are very greedy so they can send merchants with good deals and give you special discounts for allies. Invading them should be very difficult.


Pirate States: These minor civs are aggresive and have good navy for looting trade routes and pillage tiles. These minor civ have good ship spawning rate and have vast sea territory. If they have good relation can give you good technology to us.


Expansive State: These state will try to gain more territory and large part of land. These states have good army strength and spawn rate. These state will make weak states the vassal state. They are unstable and can break into smaller independent minor states. If they have good relation will give us good technology related to land units like new shield, gun, etc.


Science state: These state will have good science and have powerful units with high tech equipment. If have good relation can provide high tech equipment.


Production state: These are state with high production output and have fast city growth and have good relation will give us resource.


Colonial states: These state will form territory overseas and nearby. These have strong unit, good trade and production, but these are unstable and can breakdown to independent minor sate. If you have good relation can provide alliance and resource trade with discounts.


Military States:These are state with strong ideology and will oppose cuvs going against ideology. These state come in existence if leader of minor civ is assassinated by spy or coup or when it gain independence. Having good relation can be very supportive and can give good influence and will not likely to attack you.


Vassal state: These are states which become vassal when accept vassal treaty and major civ can also become vassal. They have to give some percentage share of gold or resource. They have weak army and can gain devassalization by fighting war.

I also  suggest that minor civ can ask your control and can be of two types:

Total Control: In this minor civ will become part of your empire by having good influence on public or if minor civ agree with annexation treaty.

Half control: In this minor civ will become part of your empire but the territory will be autonomous means that they are half control of AI and you. Player can snatch autonomy in trade menu of minor civ and will cause unhappiness in territory and try to gain independence, and AI will start spawning military units and fight you.

Player will have to keep people happy in autonomous region and if happiness not fullfilled can ask to end half control or AI will start spawning units will launch attacks.

Some decision like population distribution, city tile placement and policy will be controlled by AI 
It will happen when strong civ is attacking it and we can also have treaty for autonomy for short period of time and after it gain independence.
This mechanism will be challenging for aggressively expanding civ.
