I suggest this mechanic because it can make game interesting.

I suggest autonomy treaty (can be for some turns or permanent) in which minor civ will become part of our empire but we have no control on city growth, policy and population distribution but is controlled by AI acting as autonomous goverment.

Keeping people happy should be focused if we fail to do so (it usually occur when you try to remove autonomy that is gaining total control or policy or warmongering or influenced by other)

The AI of autonomous territory can ask other  civ for help and start forming hostile troops in our territory and fight war against empire and gain independence.

City of your territory can ask autonomy if there is high unhappiness.

Autonomus govt have there trade menu and we can give gold or cancel autonomous treaty. While cancelling treaty we get 2 options for give independence or remove autonomous government.

If we choose remove autonomous govt. then it spawn troops and we have to capture all territories to integrate it.

This can give civil war scenario.

Capital city cannot gain autonomy

Do you mean like having new others minor civs to be vasals of the main civs feautured in the game?

This is giving autonomy means minor civ will have there control on territory but will be shown as part of empire instead of independent territory and this mechanic, I suggest for very aggressive civ and if you say vassal in it minor civ will have territory and it will accept treaty if it lose war.

SUGGESTIONS for the game                ( sorry I suck at writing I am dumb swedish man sorry )

Suggestion  ( new tribes forming )

In the bigginging of the game everyone starts out like a tribe soon to become a primitive civilization. What if more tribes keep poping up later in the game.

                     ( sience influence )

It would not make sense if these new un advaced new kingdoms would form in the midle of a bouch of advaced onces ( exampel if the inca would form in the midle of medieval europe )
Tribes would stop spawning in sertain areas that are to highly advanced but would spawn in less advanced once.

And here is where the mechanic of sience influence comes in. I think that you should get boosted sience from odder civilazations that you trade with and have cultural and friendly relations with , this would make it so some ares of the map would snowboll more in science and make for a continent like exampel europe. This would make some areas less advanced and some more and will in the end make for a more intresting colonization and conquest of land for the advanced area. This would make it more realistic and make for some fun scenarios.

Thank you for reading my ideas, Love to Humnakind :)

I like your idea but in future instead of tribe like in:

medieval era a minor civ with expansionist trait when destabilize by internal conflicts leads to formation of new civ.

pre modern era there can be civ forming unit like colonial companies which collapse in future and cause formation of new civ.

Sea Looters making pirate faction.

modern era: High instability cause rebellion and cause formation of new civ.
