Being an avid Civilization player, I understand the magnitude of the maps, but with the sprawling nature of Humankind's cities, I'm just wondering how big the maps will be compared to a likewise game like Civilization?

The smallest maps are around the same size as the smallest maps in Civ6, but the bigger maps get a bit bigger, though that is relativized somewhat by the territory and region system resulting in an overall smaller number of cities. Personally I'd say it feels about the same.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but is there any info on how the map generation is relative to Civ 5/ Endless Legend? I'm hoping for a really nice generation system that makes rivers and mediterranean style inland seas.
