Being an avid Civilization player, I understand the magnitude of the maps, but with the sprawling nature of Humankind's cities, I'm just wondering how big the maps will be compared to a likewise game like Civilization?

I should point out that the sprawling cities won't neccessarily be that big. They're just showing them in the trailers and screenshots to demonstrate progress. You can also spread your cities out into multiple smaller city centers within the same district as I understand it.

That's correct; you are not forced to cluster all your districts together.
