Because it never appears again

Truth be told I don't know much about the World Trade Center, I was 3 when the 911 happened and I am not American. Among the countless modern monuments I don't see the twin towers as one of the best contemporary architecture. But what is a wonder anyway? 

There are quite alot of big names around. Parthnon is standing tall on the Athenian mountain, The Payramids are still shining under the same Moon and stars as thousands year before. These are the legacies we can still see nowadays. We know the Temple of Zeus, we know the Hanging Garden, but we only know them from legends, from myths, from half-truth historical document, or perhaps from bits and pieces in games, but they are gone now, for the forseeable future we won't know their look in the exact details. 

I think the same is true for the Twin Towers. I don't think the inspire us to he same degree as the Great Library of Alexander to the classical world, but I can feel the destruction, and what is had left on the global politics. I never been to Manhattan before, yet I feel the influence of the destruction of the Twin Towers. I haven't seen whatever glory they once have, but I know enough that the loss of it, or the reality the the once tallest building in the world can be destroyed in an instance, in a places that everyone thought were safe, had changed something. I can only say that the fall of World Trade Center has changed the way all people are living, American or not. 

Personally I don't think it's not ok.

It existed.
