Questions about Map Creation and Camera limits

Will Humankind include an in-game map editor, either at launch or down the line? Endless legend had Tiled support but I won't lie, that asked too much from me, I didn't enjoy that. Civ 6 eventually included their map builder and it's been a lot of fun. It allows for a really unique style of creative and imaginative play in itself. I hope there's a system to create maps in this game. This feature is becoming more and more of a priority for me.

Also, how generous will the limits of the camera be? Civ 6's max zoom out isn't close to enough on larger maps. Endless legend had a weird feature where you zoomed out and saw like a map overlay which wasn't terrible but it wasn't ever what I wanted either. Will we have the ability to zoom out all the way enough to see the whole board, as is?

The desire for a map editor is definitely on our radar. However, we can't yet promise if and when it will be available. From experience, the current dev-tools we have are not exactly user-friendly.
We would love to have it for release, but we're not sure we can deliver it by then.

As far as zoom, I don't believe they have announced anything but in Endless Legend there was a mod available which let you change the limitations of zooming. In that case it wasn't letting you zoom further out, but letting you zoom further out before it switches to tactical view. Endless Legend and Humankind will both be Unity engine games so there is a decent change if the Devs cap zooming, a mod will be able to fix it.
