Hello Amplitude!

I have a question/concern/confusion regarding Generals. When I hover my mouse over the Generals icon in the upper right hand corner it has a popup that states, "This is the number of your Armies led by a General. If you have more Armies than Generals, your Empire will suffer an Upkeep penalty, with each Army requiring a (Dust icon) cost of upkeep. You can unlock more Generals via Technologies." and the current number is 17. I have just started the Babylon scenario and have 3 Scouts (with 5 troops each).

My question is: What does that 17 represent? Based on the wording it seems to note that I have 17 Armies, but I think logically that should say 3 for my 3 Scouts? Even if you count each individual troop within the army, that's still only 15 (5 per Scout), though I don't think that would make sense. Also, I have split the Scouts and have all 3 doing their own thing, so I would think I'd have 3 active Generals? Or does the icon represent my 17 total Generals? The button to the right of this icon "Opens a list of all your Armies" doesn't seem to be implemented yet, so I can't check that to compare. I'm just wondering if either I'm misunderstanding what that icon represents, or if the behind-the-scenes math is funky or "still in the works".

Ah ha! While typing up this post I think I figured it out. That number seems to be the number of available Generals. I discovered a Warrior and the number dropped to 16. I merged them with my Scout and it went back up to 17. I'd like to recommend a slight re-wording of the popup for this:

If you change the first sentence to: "This is the number of Generals available to lead your Armies." I think that makes a little more sense and the rest still works.

So far so good! Regardless of anything else, 2021 is going to be a better year. ^.^
