So I have greatly enjoyed this preview of the game and I know alot of people have posted about certain things about the UI being unclear and so on. I also understand that this is Pre Alpha and theres a good chance alot of these things would be resolved regardess of feedback, but alot of things many people have had issues with may stem more with unfamiliarity (rightfully so) rather than it not telling you information at all.

All that being said, I may be eating my own words because normally I am pretty decent at using the breakdown and seeing where all of my yields and bonus come from but I truly cannot seem to find where the "Civilization Bonus" yields which appear for like every yield type when you look at the top of the city screen under the breakdown stems from. It may be me being blind to like this one thing, or perhaps a wierd choice of wording but at this point the only thing that I can guess is it is the "difficulty setting" buff that you often get in many 4x games. (I dont really believe this though) the wording itself makes it seem like it would come from Babylonia, but nothing in their civ seems to suggest that id get a +4 industry or +2 money from just being Babylonia. Im stumped. Can anyone help me out?

I was confused by the same thing, and like you, I enjoy understanding all the math behind what's going on. In short though, I think the "Civilization Bonus" is a modifier that has to do with the difficulty setting of the scenario. I think it might be broader to also include something that the actual civ is factionally providing - whether or not Babylon is actually doing that or not.

I can imagine that your first idea is right, but the normal +2 science bonus was improved to give us more FIMSS for the 30 turns.

It s just a guess though

I just crunched the numbers for the English at start of Scenario 3, specifically to assess the FIMS benefit of attaching a territory.

I conclude that the English get +15% FIMS as a trait, which is displayed as the "Civilization Bonus" line for each of FIMS.

See math here: Stability and Food: A Quantitative Romp through Scenario 3

Technically you get +10% fims on capital from civics when they are in the middle point. English trait is +3 industry on farmer quarters.
