As the title says, I'd like to the sanctuaries or curiosities idea extended for sealife. While fishing isn't best simulated with the tactical combat currently used for hunts, this system would be able to do a good job simulating many other aspects of fisheries, at the cost of putting more congnative burden on the player.

from the Q&A Livestream :

- Exploration was teased with ruins and whatnot on land, is their similar stuff at sea?

- There are indeed shipwrecks to find, and oil deposits can be found at sea as well.

Both those deal with "non-organic" matter, I'm specifically requesting a system that represents sealife, which could be just fish and whales to start.

Just as a way to provide greater detail on my thoughts here:

Fishing Curiosities:

1. Much easier to implement, fishes provide food, whales provide gold.

2. Depending on detail, the spawining of fishing curiosities could be set to realistic locations and mimic the overfishing of some locations.

3. Would require minimal effort from developers.

Fishing sanctuaries:

1. More work from developers, requires units and 3d models for fish and whales

2. Breaks current game design of no civilian units (would require fishing boats)

3. Naval battles don't make sense for simiulating fishing

4. Sanctuaries can also be set to realistic locations, spawning mechanic is more realistic

5. Presents player with current vs. future payout decision

6. Naval combat would require units to return to home waters for repairs, simulating fishing voyages

7. Fisheries would require naval protection from other players, encouraging conflict
