... is terribly annoying. Humankind units babble is really annoying. After the first click i looked for the off button. I cant imagine listening to this all the time. This is componded with the game engine that increases the volume when i get closer to the units. Please for the love of my ears, make this feature a toogle and let me turn of the unit click confirmation talk. Or get static volume on unit sounds and something different than them talking. 

You can keep the volume scaling if for ambience, like birds and waterfalls when zooming in. Maybe for city ambience too, but nothing annoying that significantly changes my set audio level. Its twice as annoying on headphones.

I second this. And since all units are going to speak english, I dont understand why you implement such immersion breaking. If you insist on implementing this, then at least a setting to turn this off.

I thought perhaps the english chatter on my Babylonian units was just a placeholder. Hopefully this is the case and we could hear something close of the accent with the civilizations upon release. I don't mind the constant response when you click on them and they tell you what they're doing, I've heard this before in numerous other games, so it hasn't really bothered me one way or another. But more options for players is always a good thing.

That is impossible for many cultures in the game, though.
For Olmecs, Harappans and Huns, we don't even have a clue as to what language they spoke.
Many others like Egyptians (no phonetics), Zhou (no phonetics), Carthaginians (no descendants and unknown grammar), Mycanaeans (unknown grammar) still lack stuff to work with. And unless they took the AoE approach and made Simlish for them, it would sound just as wrong as them responding in modern English.

Its not just that they respond. But also tht they do answer in full wenn ich misclick on some field and say things like: "i cannot do that". That so utterly annoying. Why? Its enough that the units doesn't move. Dont create unecessary responses ich have to process. ITs not even immersive if some cocky unit talks shit to me. 

Secondly save your time creating all those unessesary text lines. Do something better with that developer time.
