Intelligent (and better) UI (for city production) suggestion

I have 2 suggestions regarding city UI:


  1. When constructing a quarter , the 2 UI mode "dispaly fims" and "show main production" (the colored haexagone) should automatically enable, and return to normal state after. An alternative might be that this enable always when on city screen. The reason for that is that most of the time i want these displayed only when I'm building things (same than for outpost)
  2. Easier, more complex and intelligent production item sorting. I'm gonna expand on this point.

I know, not the most flattering one, we see nothing. Of course it might easily be fixed by no displaying notification but i have another suggestion, which have other advantages.
Forget the list, you need to click once to open it, scroll through it to find what you want and click again. I dont like clicking twice for that, when 1 can be enough (and faster).

Here is my (ugly) concept suggestion:

So here, instead of the long list, we have 2 rows of checkbox button:
  1. First for type of production (unit, quarter, project, infra, repeatable and so on)
  2. Second for its use/production (science, industry, money, influence and so on, maybe military too?) (for units i guess it these wouldnt matter
By left clicking on one of these, it would enable it and disable the others of the same row, but enable the others of the other rows. The enabled one only would display. This is exactly as what the list currently allow but with 1 less click.
But its not over!
By right clicking, you can select multiple boxes ! so maybe you ant everything except unit and project, and the stuff relating to money?
This allow extra sorting.
But its not over!
These buttons are DRAGGABLE ! like the fims icons from Expert policy mode, allowing to sort the priority of the button who you want to be displayed first (dragabble alreay exist so thats shouldnt be too hard)
But its not over!
Bottom right of the building, you can display the current max production this building would add, so that you can chose more eaily without counting

But what about intelligent? So this might be or not comaptibel with priority from draggable im not sure, but here is what i mean:
It would basically be an automatic sorting based on:
  1. Total amount of the main fims
  2. Total amount of any fims (in case of egality depends of the priorities?)
  3. Cost
Or maybe base it on the AI choices?
The point is to put in first the better choices, so that we dont have to count which would be best , and guide new players. As it would probably be based on curent best choice, you would still need to chose by planning ahead, but ideally the good choices would be in the first or first 2 rows, so that you dont have to scroll
Because yeah scrolling is annoying too, not just extra clicking :)

Here are my thought, I don't think it would require that much work as it is basically only using already exsiting features, but would be clearer, better QoL and deeper; allowing to keep this tiny screen space but with the "accurate" building proposition directly

If I can add a suggestion, I would like to have the tiles related to an infrastructure, being highlighted when I pass my mouse on the infrastructure. For exemple, the one which boost industry on forests and woodlands, having the forest and woodland tiles of my territory being highlighted, to quickly see how much it's profitable on my territory with my current city.

I really like your suggestion, that would indeed increase QoL when planning city buildings' queue and quarters placement on the map.
