Another game.
There's something missing in the next picture, can you find it?

Answer; it should be there:

But it is not, as I'm obviously talking about the possibility to put troops to sleep with a wake-on-movement order.
A simple button with the same behaviour as the one that is on but waking up if a troop comes into the movement radius, with maybe some restriction to tweak around:

  1. wildlife
  2. allied troops
  3. movement that would move the troop in a „complex“ way, for example:
    1. (dis)embarking
    2. crossing more than one territory frontier
    3. using flights
    4. and probably more
  4. an option to deal with the question of neutral troops could be useful, but more tricky to make.

That's all folks!

I like the idea of sleep + wake-on-movement.

But do you need to make a discrepancy by having some of your troops wake and others not.

I think it should be incorporated into a general gameplay setting along the lines of "Armies request orders on encounter".

And it should apply not only to waking on enemy movement, but also stopping and requesting orders while moving and encountering:

Either enemy armies or curiosities or something else.

This is my thread:

and you even commented there.

I think some players would mind having to deal with troops that do wake up, when they are happy with their situation (mostly on borders, I guess), so two possibilities, one for sleep for ever, and one with a wake-up mechanic seems better.
As for your thread, I think it is a different topic, but it is interesting and thus I follow it and upvoted it.

Yeah, there's a real similarity between wake-on-event and stop-moving on event.  Both have their uses, and I'd love to see both.  Thanks for creating these feature requests, @vensa and @Cure_off.
