Hi all, I really enjoyed the OpenDev when it was live about a month ago, but today I had a small idea that could make some of the aspects of the game easier to follow for people like me, that get so invested in where they place their Pyramids that they've lost track of their surroundings. A timeline that includes how cultures, including your own, have changed.

Now, there's every chance someone might burst into this thread and tell me that this was a feature in the game already and I just happened to miss it.

But anyway, I was thinking that a simple, aesthetically consistent, graph that shows which players/AIs have become which culture and when; possibly including wonder constructions, etc.

This basic example I've put together should give you a decent idea of what I'm suggesting. Here, we have an example of four players on the prospective timeline. One, brown, has been defeated; so the graph stops tracking them (the word 'Defeated' is put above them to better illustrate this point, but I feel as though them falling off from the graph on its own will show that in the game.

The circles on each bar would have the icon of each chosen culture a player has picked, presumably allowing a player to hover over them for a dialogue box that explains the culture's name, speciality, and maybe a little flavour.

There are many ways to achieve this kind of goal in the game, but this is just what came to mind first thing; I hope people think it's a good idea!

I can definitely see something like this being in the works for a post-game retrospective sort of thing, like how Civ has all those graphs and whatnot.

Various Deeds related to earning Fame, such as construction of Wonders, discovering Natural Wonders, achieving World Deeds, and some important changes to your Civilization would be nice.
