Hello,

I played as a Dutch and Venetians merchant in 2 different games so I wanted to play with trade routes, had a lot of resources that were sold to the IA, however I was not able to see accurate information on what how or which amount of any. So I will point out some of my findings and ideas.

For example, in the next screen, I was only able to see the trade routes with the other IA using the diplomacy screen, I can switch the export and import and view then on the map and their routes.
I can check which trade post are being used.
Still I wish to be able to see a list of which resources are being sold to the IA from the current user interface, same as for the resources that I buy from the IA. For strategic purposes you need to have more control about this to be able to buy a strategics that you need in order to build a unit, project or infrastructure (for example I needed 3 aluminum to build jets and I needed to buy them, or oil to build tanks, or uranium for nukes test or missiles)

On the next screen, I am at my admin center. And I can see that 7 trades pass through that territory. I can see which IAs are using and if they are exports or imports trade routes but again, nothing more.
There is only one detail that and I can see there that there is an international trade route between the IAs Teutons and Byzantines, that is the only way to know about that and this could be a really important one to know about and how can you hurt them if there is a war, I wish I could see what are they trading there and which resources are coming and going under my territory.

Sometimes there are trade routes passing trough a territory and are not showed, also I don't understand the difference with the straight lines and the dotted lines:

In the City UI there isn't information about the trade routes that are passing in difference from the Admin center, I believe that it should be added as well

Having more information on how to work with trade routes will be really appreciated, specially to make good cities with big trading ports with the improvements ( Great fishmarket +5 naval trade route, seafood wholesalers +5 naval trade route, custom farm +1 on going trade )

Another thing to be added should be the multiplier on the Money summary to understand how its calculated, for example: "+43 money for 9 trade routes"

Didn't figured out how to improve anything with the airports though, the description said about commercial interests, but no trade route there...
I don't have a screen about the difference on trade routes after I declared a war on my former ally, but apart from blocking the naval routes to that specific IA nothing else changed.

To finalize this post, I want to point out that trading is not a really big factor for a Merchant civilization, and this to me is odd, since you want to be trading a lot and gain the merchant badge but it doesn't seems to make a real impact on the economics of your empire, it is always more important to make Market quarters than to trade. Since it is really easy to disrupt a trade route, and it doesn't give you a lot in turns of money economy.

I will really appreciate to know about how the community feels about what is pointed out on this post.
