Are missile cruisers too strong

Here you can check naval unit strength. To me the contemporary missile cruiser looks way too strong compared to other contemporary ships. It have the most combat strength of any ship at 62, have same range as a battleship or stealth corvette at 5 and cost the same as a battleship at 7400 or nuclear submarine and it is also anti aircraft. It is just one tech from battleships and aircraft carriers but is straight up better than battleship except the lack for the bombardment ability, which is fair I guess. But it seems to straight up outclass the stealth corvette who at 56 strength cant defeat a missile cruiser, even 2 vs one as stealth corvette is half price, nuclear submarines is in an even worse shape as they only have 55 strength and cost the same as a missile cruiser.

Pretty much no ship can beat missile cruiser other than missile cruisers and maybe lucky battleships that get to make use of their bombardment ability, but at only range of 5, it can be tricky to use it against missile cruisers who move at speed of 6 and thus can stay outside of battleship range and rush in to attack them. Missile cruiser is also important due to their AA, but making them both the anti ship and anti air unit leave little reason to even consider stuff such as stealth corvette or nuclear submarines and battleships is reduced to a relative limited role as floating artillery.

Stealth Corvettes and Nuclear subs are only visible by adjacent units, and in naval warfare with large ranges and high speeds that is big.

Yes but once they fire, they will be destroyed by the missile cruisers as they lose their stealth. Missile cruisers have same range and speed as stealth corvette, they are slower but outrange nuclear submarines.

The only thing I think stealth ships are good at is to destroy transports and scouting (but carriers with aircrafts seems like a better option), actually fighting battleships/missile cruisers will go poorly for them.

They shouldn't lose the stealth, since they don't have to be adjacent to attack. (unlike early stealth units)

They should lose their stealth according to the encyclopedia

Invisible Units

Units can become invisible thanks to their Special Ability or a temporary Status can only be detected by adjacent opponents, so an Army containing only invisible Units can only be seen by Empires which move one of their Armies next to it. Invisible Units also aren’t shown in the user interface when opponents select your Army unless, as before, they have an Army on an adjacent Tile. This can lead to nasty surprises!

During battle Invisible Units cannot be seen or targeted unless they are detected by an adjacent Unit or following an Attack. Once detected, Invisible Units remain detected until the next time they move.

The only exception I can think of is Soldaderas as they have the GUERILLA FIGHTERS trait which mean: Stealth Unit that remains hidden even when attacking.
