When you first look at Venetians, you see a good money civilization with decent EQ which produces influence and slightly buffs your market quarters. Impressive, but how many harbors, artisan quarters, administrative centers and market quarters do you have? One fifth of your city at most, and that's including focusing in building them in this Era. Say you have 20 such districts of total hundred, so Botteghe Di Artisti gives you additional 20 gold to whatever you see when you place it. Solid but not incredible, right? Wrong!

This situation is actually misleading, because real powerspike of Venetians is not in their Era it is in the last era of the game, when you research World-Wide Web technology. It by itself is not impressive too - 1 money and 1 stability per district. You already do not have stability problem in this era and something like 150 gold from 150 districts is not much... And for non-Venetians it is indeed so. But if you were Venetians couple eras ego, situation changes dramatically as with WWW every district becomes a money-producing tile and thus is affected by every Botteghe Di Artisti. 6 territories with 6 Botteghe Di Artisti? Have 7 gold per district! Or about 1k in your 150 district city. You merged two cities and now have 300 districts with 12 Botteghe Di Artisti? Well, you now have 4k gold in single city instead of two producing 1k each. And if you actually go for that 20 territories in city achievement, every single district regardless of it's type suddenly produces 21 gold.
