Problems and how-to-fix-them suggestions (after playing "Lucy")

1. Building UI is very hard to use. It is just a half of window with very many things.

FIX: Make chose building and unit UI separate horizontal wide window in the bottom of screen (like in Cities: Skylines) with tabs instead of groups. Split building to tabs by their meaning: “Districts”, “Industry”, “Science”, etc.

2. District placing seems non-intuitive and exploiting at the same time. I can’t place farms far away form city center, like it is in real life, but resource deposits create new “centers”.

FIX: It must be possible to place resource mine, markets and farms in any hex, but they shouldn’t allow to place other buildings near, if have no connection to city center. So, it will look like big city and several small villages. Intuitive and plausible.

3. Map graphics is awesome, but now it is too yellowish color palette.

FIX: White balance user setting is really needed.

4. Some notifications tell user nothing. “New trade…”. What it is about? Zoom icon leads me to resource deposit, and… what? Someone buys it now? Who? The same with deeds. “It is unlocked”, but which one? I can’t remember all unlocked before to find new one by comparison.

FIX: Each notification must contain all important details and doesn’t say just “something happened, guess what”.

5. If units cost population, it is good choice to disband most of them after war. But the problem is, when other war will begin, I need to build many units in my cities, and so I have to manage many build queries manually.

FIX: Units must have their own parallel build query. And allow parallel producing several units in one city. It may take 2–4 turns to produce, but after them, player must get full army (like in Total War series).

6. Now it is needed to open diplomatic UI to know anything about every opponent.

FIX: It must be tooltip over other countries icons in main screen, showing their current relations with other countries and other information. Money, trade info, stability, known army/fleet size, wars and alliances, at least.

Separate UI with countries relation tables and statistics is welcome too.

7. AI in my game was building only market quarters and resource mines. Not any other district. All cities in the world, except mine, had 2—3 hexes at all on turn 100.

8. Money balance is not working now. I do nothing with it, but I am crazy rich. I even don’t need any market quarter with their “+2 coins”. Surely, if I get 700 coins every turn without any single market, “2 coins” have no meaning.
