As far as my understanding goes, my machine meets the minimum requirements. I have 8 GB of RAM, Windows 7 64-bit.

The symptoms are as follows:

Before running the game circa 1.5 GB of RAM are already in use.
I start the game through Steam. RAM steadily increases.
Game opens. During video, 4 GB of RAM are in use.

Login screen is shown. 5 GB of RAM are in use.

I use the slow main menu UI to go into settings and choose the fastest graphics options; by the time I actually press 'Start Scenario' or whatever, 6 GB of my RAM are in use.

Game loads up to circa 40%, then stops. I wait for a bit. At this point the music stops, indicating my RAM is full.

And that's it. Then all I can do is kill the game's process. Waiting goes nowhere.

EDIT: Yep. I hit a blue screen, as expected.

This makes me glad I didn't pre-order. Though I'm sure they'll fix it soon enough. Hopefully the diagnostic files and system info will help.

6GB of RAM in use before I even press play? This is weird. Something's clearly going on.

I tried running it in Safe Mode. Not that W7 would have as much background junk going on as W10 does... No luck so far.
