I launch the game, get past the intro, click on Start the Game.

The loading screen displays a progress bar at the bottom, when it reaches about 30%, the screen turns black and the application is closed.

Steam shows the game is still running, even though there is no process for Humankind in Task Manager. Stopping from Steam doesn't work. Restarting Steam allows launching it again.

I tried the following:

Deleting the Users directory under Documents/Humankind

Disabling the antivirus

Running with default settings

Running with max and min quality settings

Running the game after logging in to Games2Gether when prompted.

Attached is the latest diagnostics file.

Nothing else was running on my PC while I launched the game.

My rig has 16GB RAM and RTX 3080.

Update: I was able to fix the issue by updating my Nvidia drivers to the latest version.

Now the game is loading correctly. However, if I try to change resolution to 4k and modify quality settings from normal to max mid game, the game crashes.

If I try to start the game with 4k and max quality settings, the progress bar goes to ~90% then the screen goes black, a small green progress bar is shown in the middle of the screen and the game crashes.

I will try to play it on normal settings and HD resolution for now.
