Your issue is basically Unity failing to communicate properly with your GPU. 

I've no idea how to overclock my GPU, so no.  My drivers are up to date, but I've not tried re-installing them.

Getting rid of "-force-vulkan" seems to have at least made my game start loading again.  Let's see how this goes.........

I could solve the "Unity-ctd-error" by actually deinstalling the following software:

- Sonic Sound 2

- Sonic Suite

The game is starting up without any problems again, and I've been playing for a while now.

So I've now managed to load, quit, re-load, and play more after getting rid of the "-force-vulkan" fix.  Perhaps this needs to be re-examined as a "fix"?

I get unity crash at random times.

Very interesting that you guys chose to go with Unity to make a game this complex and multi-layered.
