Hey,

Humankind doesn't officially support Linux (but i do know a lot of player plays with proton).

I can just give you some insights on what's happening : the game is calling a windows library that's searching something (probably a driver) not found on your computer.

I've got no idea if this will work, but if i may suggest : launching the game in vulkan mode sounds like a good idea on linux systems (you're actually launching it with directx). Try to add "-force-vulkan" parameter on the steam launch options

Which version of Steam Play/Proton are you using? Rightclick on the game and go to "Compatibility" to find it.

I've been using the GloriousEggroll custom build (installation instructions) and have had no problems.

Done. It seems to continue a bit further (like a second longer of blank screen), but still crashes . Attached are the logs.

Now Steamworks fails to initialize. which is some progress :-)

Is there any way to turn on more verbose logging?

I've been using the GloriousEggroll custom build (installation instructions) and have had no problems.

Proton 4.2-9. Chosen by Steam. I can try and fiddle around with different proton versions and see what happens.

Proton 6.3-6 works so far without problems for me on SolusOS

That's two years and a couple major versions behind the current stock Proton, so definitely try something in the 6.x range.

I'm running same version of Proton as you, and no success. So it might be something else. What version of the nVidia-drivers are you using?

Same experience here. I have tried all proton versions, experimantal etc. I also tried the GE version. No luck.

Did anybody find a solution to this?
