As stated after working on a map for some hours I was unable to load the file to edit again. The loading screen reaches 100% and does not progress, however music continues playing. This occurred after I had placed territories, but before I had placed any spawns so I cannot test loading the map into an actual game. I recreated the issue by editing a new tiny map and only adding a single territory. Upon saving a reloading I could not complete the load. I have included both map files.

I hope this can be resolved. This is on the PC Steam version of the game

FIX

I recently discovered the fix for this issue over on this thread:

Essentially you can edit the Map save and remove the territories you added. Open the HMAP file using 7zip or WinRAR and you will find a "Save" file within. The territory data can be found within. remove any of the territories you added and try to match it with a map file of similar map size without territories. Essentially you want to look for this:

<LandmarkDatabase>

            <Landmarks Null="true" />

        </LandmarkDatabase>

Be sure to make a copy of your map before editing in case you mess something up. May take a little tweaking but I was able to get mine working. Good luck!
