Hi, in short: I declared war on the english for their vassal's city, they broke vassalage mid-war and now i'm still occupying the city for nothing.

So a vassal of another empire absorbed an independent people (and that's a bit confusing since it should be too far from them and I was their patron anyway), but since it was on my continent I declared war. Shortly after occupying said city, their lord broke the vassalage for some reason, leading me to continue the war with them, but being in peaceful relations with the empire I am occupying the city of. Essentially we waged war over a moot point, and of course since my war goal of conquering the city is impossible I only get monetary reparation. However I am still occupying the city, and I'm sure that's not how it's supposed to be. Posting it here.

Savefiles: Autosave is after the war, manual save is a couple turns earlier.
