Did just happens as soon as you enter in Contemporary Era or you merge a city or some actions? Because it is strange indeed

As soon as I hit Contemporary era.

Then it is a bug. I am going to move the thread to the bug report section and I will ask you, to start, for the save files, I let you a guide on where you can find them as well.

• Saves: Please provide the last two auto-saves from when the issue occurred along with any other relevant saves.
  • PC: \Users\[username]\Documents\Humankind\Save Files
  • Mac: This is hidden in the Libraries folder. You will need to do an internet search to find specific steps for your OS. Once the libraries folder is revealed, they are in /library/ application support/humankind/Save Files
