I'm reposting the following here from reddit based off of Cato9Tales's recommendation, and attaching a save file with the turn where the war score leaps, a save file 4 turns earlier that we happened to take, and diagnostics files. Note that I think the timestamps on the diagnostics files suggest that they dont go back far enough, but I've included them on the off-chance that they are still helpful. The 2022'02'28 diagnostics file is the following weekly session after the bug happened, so it pertains to the same game save.

Last night, an AI went to war with me, I repelled them down to 0 war score and forced surrender. After the war we were both approximately on 0 war score as is normal after a surrender. The turn after, they press a demand on me which I refuse, and they go to war again. The war kicks off with me having 7 war score vs their 2.

Great, I thought. Next turn they'll be back on 0 again and that's another forced surrender coming my way. Only, the next turn, they were on 97 war score and I was on 40. What happened?

Further details that may be relevant, I am Germans (Militaristic), they are Siamese (Builders). They are pushing Opium of the Masses grievances on me. I had a battle with them whilst they were on 2 war score, which I won.

How did their war score jump so high?
