Description:

During a long medieval era with the Umayyads, I researched part of the technologies for the early modern era as well. When I finally transitioned to the new era with the Spanish, the Conquistadores were not in the technology tree, but regular Arquebusiers were present instead.

Steps to reproduce:

Play as the Umayyads in the medieveal era, get 7 era stars, research the "Gunpowder warfare" technology (early modern era), transition to the next era as teh Spanish, check the technology tree.

Expected behaviour:

When playing as the Spanish the Arqubusiers are replaced by the Conquistadores

Actual behaviour:

Regular Arquibusiers are present in the technology tree.

This thing is still in? The worst one I had was missing on Langskips by researching Seafaring Mastery as Greeks, ages ago.

Just as a side note, tho, unless something changed, Conquistadores do not replace Arquebusiers and need to be trained separately. Your units would still upgrade to Arquebusiers->Musketeers. Which may be slightly annoying, but I think it's thematically fitting that Conquistadores and Janissaries have to be trained from zero rather than upgraded from existing units.

Btw, thats only a visual bug - you'll be able to build the conquistadores normally. Same happens with all scientist cultures - when you research a next era tech and turns out that tech unlocks a EU, that EU won't show in the tech tree, but you'll be able to build it (and upgrade if possible) normally.

Yes, I agree that it makes more sense to train them separately.

IDK

IMO it would be simpler if they did just upgrade.

Playing the cultures of Africa DLC you basically upgrade your Tribes -> Begendi Pioneers -> Javelin Riders ->  Oromo Cavalry -> MRAP.

It's super!
