Yes, my Humankind was broken today too. Please bring the game to life back ASAP :'(

I have the same issue and expect feedback from devs regarding running Humankind with extension on Steam Deck.

Found the way to get previous version. In the game properties:

Devs, please solve the problem with exp pack.

UPDATE: Some kind of update went live for me around yesterday. The game runs now, and I can load into my game. However, it still crashes back to SteamOS pretty reliably every 10 turns or so.

What's going on? Devs, do we know anything about this?

Yesterday wasn't any update. I had the same issue. Sometimes crash during game starting phase, sometimes after 1 or 2 turns in game.

I have disable the new extension in the game menu and the game doesn't start. We need a solution my friends at Amplitude 

Seems like they fixed the issue. New games with diplomacy starting and playing well, saves loading ok too. Thanks!

Really? I can begin games and load old ones, but I'm still getting frequent crashes during actual play.

Which version of Proton are you using?

Hi. Maybe will work rollback to previous version, as i wrote earlier here, then choosing "None" in Betas. Try, if you didn't.

I'll give it a shot after work.

No, previous version not contains the expansion. It seems very logical to me. :)

I have this issue too. Tried to lower graphics to minimum but without results.

I'll try to start new game as someone described.

Today i have tested again and after 10 turns crash. It is still not stable.

Yes, i had playing without. Then i had turned beta version off, automatically got update, and the newest expansion appeared, the game plays ok with it.

Even the last few files can help. If you launch the game it will create new files, so then you can select only those relatives to that session, which you can easily do by ordering them by creation time.

Any news on this topic? It has been one week and I still cannot play Humankind on my steam Deck =\ same problem as described on this post, it will not go any further 50% -75% when loading a new game
