Last night I completed 5/6 of the Da Vinci challenges, missing only the Machines of War challenge. Today I started a new game, played a bit, started another one and noticed that I'd lost all progress on the event, none of the challenges were completed. Then I noticed that I'd also lost my achievements on the Dia De Los Muertos event and I no longer have access to La Catrina?

I restarted the game and "Challenges" was now greyed out in the Events menu. It came back after another restart but the challenges are still missing. I'm connected to Amplifiers. Very annoying, it took me quite a while to get the La Serenissima challenge. 

Okay so disconnecting from Amplifiers and connecting back again seems to have brought back some of the challenge achievements, except that some have now reset to whatever I had in the last game I started today. But La Serenissima is back at least...Still missing La Catrina because some of those challenges reset. 

I have a similar problem: after the latest update I lost progress in all three challenges. This is quite annoying. Fortunately, the tasks which were the hardest stayed intact (e.g. the Mogul one). Seems like a bug to me.

Same thing is happening to me. 

Losing progress, progress not tracking at all and cannot connect to the challenges tab half the time.

Likewise for me: I completed a few of the Da Vinci challenges last night, and now I've not only lost that progress but, after restarting Humankind, I can't even access the "Challenges" screen, despite being connected; disconnecting and reconnecting fixes nothing

Jan 2025 and it's still happening.  I have no access to challenges at all.

When is this going to be fixed???

Hello, just to add to the flock. It has happened a lot in the past for me, this time around I cannot find any workaround.

Disconnect from amplifiers / reconnect.

Cleared cache from download settings in steam.

Begin a new game several turn (which used to do the trick)

I am reading a lot around steam, reddit and here but there is no clear answer to resolve the problem.

Rather than make a new bug report, I'll add my "me too" to this one. I had some initial progress on the various challenges, having just picked the game up during Amplitude week in January. The Challenges menu option disabled itself one day a couple of weeks ago and has not returned. No mods enabled, ever, and only the free (at the time) Cultures of Latin America pack as DLC.

That it recurs still after 2+ years is not encouraging. I had high hopes today's Achilles update might have snuck something about this in, but alas it has not.

Ditto. I had three challenges: Da Vinci, Día de los Muertos, and Holi. I was working on them, connected the game back to Amplitude to help with a bug report, and have now lost all challenges. Note that my challenges names are guesses as I--as I noted--no longer have them.

The challenges tab was greyed out for me for months. Today I could access it again and I was happy to find out the progress had not been lost. I finished the Da Vinci challenges and successfully unlocked the avatar. I took a break, restarted the game and now the challenge tab is grey again and good old Leo is not available anymore.
