How to destroy a minor city. When I attack it, it is added to my cities, but I just want to erase it.

You can raze it with your units after capturing it, this is the way this must be done for the time being.
The current beta, the George Sand update, is going to add razing cities on capture to the game.

Would it be enough to merge it to another city, keeping the territory, but not another city? This is not possible for all cultures, but is for most.
