Me too same here also sometimes when I try to unlink and link again error pop up:

"414 Request-URI Too Large"

Check your account settings. I have the same problem and messages, but however my badges updated well and my account is indeed linked.

Tried on Internet Explorer  and Chrome, none works, not even on the mobile browser of my phone. So this isn't the case of browser cache and stuff.
