This is deliberate misinformation to get people to give up their information.

I don't blame Steam, I blame this crappy page and the developers who didn't tagged this "gift" as limited.

Developers have the right to generate as many giveaway codes as they like, Steam is clear on that. But they are probably rate limited. It's likely that this was setup to be automated, but broke under unexpected high demand.

That said, a simply locked sticky post saying with "We're working on it, don't worrry we'll extend the giveaway, but may need a few days to get it running" or "Unfortunately some of these items were limited stock, but we've extended the window on the rest of these items..."

But honestly... it's the weekend, they are at home with their families. Maybe we can get free junk on Monday instead when they are back at work, but lets not look a gifthorse in the mouth just yet.

just give you an example, Adidas is publishing a brand new limited spot shoe but they didn't announce that is limited. people is queue 3 day for that and suddenly they tell you out of stock, what will you feel?  player is spending their free time for waiting here but the dev can't even give an simple announcement like ' we already sent the request to steam for more Key / the event already end ' 

OF COURSE PLAYER GONNA MAD AT THEM     NOT STEAM

I tried redeeming yesterday and now today, I'm having the same issue still. Kind of annoying cause I made an account just to get the game., Lol. I'll own up to that.
