Catan. It's like Risk, but without the three weeks of agonizing waiting for everyone else to take their turn. That's not to say I don't enjoy the occasional game of Risk, I just rarely have the time or people to play it with.
Settlers of Catan with Risk second as its the only game I won in a single turn before anyone else went. It was the mission risk but to this day my family refuses to play with me.
Yeah i actually have the World at War complete game under my dining room table. I got a chance to play a few times with a friend of mine once getting Britain to surrender by closing the altantic with tons of subs and another time with taking the russian oil fields.
