Little issue that can be exploited on iPad in order to make the game "easier".

The game is not "auto-saved" at each door opening, and will only auto-save when changing floor. If you open a door, lose someone or are not happy with the random result of the door opening, killing the app, and relaunching it will get you back at last savepoint (the beginning of the floor, or "worst", where you last saved the game). If you save after each "good" door-opening and relaunch the game you can have safe opening at EVERY doors.

Anyway this is of course killing the game but a lot of people are happy with that. If you need more informations about this "issue", do not hesitate to e-mail me

I'm experiencing the crashing bug on the cave image after the Amplitude logo.

Happened on the free-weekend version, as well as after I purchased and redownloaded the game.

Still happens when launching Steam as administrator.

AND here come some more BUG reports!!!!

1. Sometimes when Playing DOTE Chests Spawn that Can't be opened!!!! see -> http://steamcommunity.com/id/commandos769/screenshot/719791555841530091

2. Sometimes in MP it happend to me that i got Stuck at the Escape!!! I was Host and my Friend hat the Crystal, he pressed the Escape Button, he went to the Elevator but my Screen just gets stuck and nothing happens......

3. Sometimes there are massive Item BUGS!!! Like the 1 we expired today in an MP!! My Friend found an Item in a Chest that he couldn't take cause he was Overloaded, so i tried to put it in my Personal Backpack but that didn't worked even if i had 2 SLOTS free!! see -> http://steamcommunity.com/id/commandos769/screenshot/719791555841528074

p.s. who is working on the Translations??? since the German Translation is only halfway done which can be annoying sometimes ^^

Hi.

-There is a typo with the Jpad description. For each rarity the defense reduction is lower but in the description it's the opposite.

-Almost every time a floor is cleared there is a white screen before the elevator room. (basically it take more time to load since the Australium update)

-If you use the "select all heroes" hotkey and then click on the portait of a hero, his skills will be slightly more to the right than usual. This make the second skill of the 4th hero almost unclickable.

I'm not sure if I should start a new thread or post in this one - well anyways: there seems to be a minor bug with the food/industry price - the color does not always change to green when having enough ressources. - But I'll keep watching this.

And this is a bad idea

Game should be saved at each door opening, even if cloud saving is disable, or internet connection is down.

Ashamed of searching and finding exploit in order to patch them is a pretty good idea ?

Naaaaah. This way, if someone says "I finish this game easily" so you can be sure the guy is good at the game, not at exploiting it

Hi,

I have recently purchased your game with a friend via steam.

We are having issues that appear to still be unresolved from 2year old posts and we're wondering if you guys have come up with a work around by now?

The issue is around the saving system. Simply put, saves are disappearing...sometimes it loads from a save and then the 2nd person joining can't control their character... or simply the saves aren't there!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The save system does not fix the constant disconnects. People joke all over steam forums, reddit, and here, about 'disconnects of the endless'

Here is a list of the known issues and workarounds:

Game crash after launch

Description:

The game crashes after the Amplitude logo / on the "cave artwork" at launch.

Workaround to test:

Launching Steam as Administrator (just for this one time).

- Exit Steam (the program itself)

- Right click on the Steam icon

- Select "Run as administrator"
Performance loss FPS

You could try to use the -force-d3d9 command in Steam:

Right Click on DotE in your Steam Library > select Properties > General > Define the launching options of the game > -force-d3d9 > Ok
Blurred text and UI

I'm using Radeon HD 4870 with Catalyst 13.1. And I had the mipmap-setting on "High Performance". After switching to "Performance", the text became readable again.
Unresponsive black screen

Description:

When starting the game:

- the screen remains black

- no sound is played

- windows alerts you the program is non responsive

Workaround to test:

Use the -novideo option in your game launch options by following these steps:

- right click on Dungeon of the Endless in your game library

- select "properties"

- select the "general" tab

- click the "set launch options" button

- type "-novideo" (without the quotes) in the text field

- click the "OK" button

- click the "close" button

The game should skip the logo video and go right to the main menu, allowing you to enjoy the game

Have a little bug right now : a door was opened without my character was near it. It was my action, but the door opened right after I click, while my characters was in an other room, far away.

First bug encountered right now, after more than ten hours of play. It would be great if all alphas, and betas, and release games were so good!

Mipmapping error was already mentioned here, and I'll do the same:

It seems to me it doesn't deserve a thread, but I just encounter a new little bug on the 0.1.14 version of the game. The warning message for the crystal being attacked arrived in the beginning of a new floor, right after the "ending floor" screen. (During one moment, I just was "hell no! this is tough enough now, I don't need that too!"

smiley: biggrin

).

It also happened on a new game, just after the cutscene (I skiped it, I'm not sure it triggered the thing...).

Was experiencing the crash to desktop issue, have no weird characters in my steam name and running as admin did not help. In my case, launching with the -force-opengl option got it running. It also ran with -force-d3d11, but the lighting didn't seem to behave properly that way, so I stuck with -force-opengl.

Bonjour, sachant que vous êtes français, mon message sera en français.

Donc, le jeu a crashé dans l'ascenseur qui, je crois, montait à l'étage 7. Mes personnages étaient : Hikensha, Ken et Skroig.

Version du jeu : 1.0.25

Je n'ai pas trouvé le fichier de sauvegarde et celui du registre (j'ai cherché pourtant). Par contre, j'ai rajouté un dossier où il y a des fichiers qui semblent être en rapport avec le crash.

Bonne chance. Vraiment dommage pour le crash (c'est mon 1er sur 35 heures de jeu) car le jeu est excellent. Bref, c'est ça qui vous sauve de ma colère ! lol

Bonjour Saylawl,

voilà, c'est le fait de perdre la sauvegarde qui est pénible. Après, le crash en lui-même n'est vraiment pas grand-chose. Mais franchement, le jeu est quand même très stable sur ma configuration. Et encore une fois, je m'amuse tellement sur le jeu que je ne peux pas vous en vouloir. C'est l'un des meilleurs jeu Steam, tout simplement. Le jeu aurait été moyen qu'on m'aurait entendu ! lol

Bref, ces jolis compliments ne doivent pas vous endormir pour améliorer Dungeon 2 (gameplay, stabilité, etc.) si suite il y a. Le piège étant de se faire leurrer par la flatterie, comme certaines stars de cinéma par exemple.

Hi,

Loving the game very nice, just a bug I encountered didn't think it needed a new thread but thought I'd pass it on. I picked up the crystal and took it to the elevator before all doors on the level had opened (they were still in progress of automatically opening), when i clicked to exit to next level, the green diamond turned white, and nothing happened, monsters just kept coming into the elevator room and attacking my hero, but nothing was taking any damage, i could build minor modules but couldn't move the screen or my hero. I had to abandon the game

(it was on the refreezerator ship if that helps or might make a difference)

Whenever I open up the Multiplayer tab, it shows nothing. I look on worldwide and everywhere I can and still nothing (screenshot below) . Any known fix or what I can do?

I'm playing on Version 1.1.5
My specs: CPU: Intel Core i5 8250 @ 1.60 Ghz
RAM: 4GB RAM
GPU: Intel HD Graphics (some version of it not really sure. I'll check on my laptop manufacturers webpage for more info.

The game starts successfully until the main menu. After that, when you try to create a lobby (immediately) or start a new game (after the animation of the ship falling), a black screen remains and the game stops responding.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Extended 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_ldr_escrow.200102-1707)

Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-2370M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~ 2.4GHz

Hello, I'm having many issues with the multiplayer:

*When someone of the party suddenly lost connection or such, the game freezes or never let that person come back again. In some occasions, when trying to reload that game I couldn't find it.. it simply dissapeared.

*It happened from time to time that when hosting a game, if I die the game simply stops and the other players never can get the elevator to leave.

*The loading screens take longer a longer to load in every progressive level.

I don't know how to find the last patch applied to this game, but I'd really like you to keep on trying to improve this game because it's so simple and yet so beatiful.
