4X games are all about customization and playing your way. I understand the backstory to Auriga, but why force people to play with Eternal Winter. God just make the Score victory mandatory and end it. Endless Space you could play forever, here you cannot.

Chill out there. I am telling you that the Winter is Programmed by the developers at the core of this game. I am telling you that if you take your digital copy and try to play it on your VCR it won't work. If you are mad at me for something that has nothing to do with me, it's your problem. The sky is blue outside and it's cold. Did I make you mad now?



By turn 300 you should have everything to negate winter in everything but the movement of your hero led armies.

Cobalty, I've read Nasarog's post over and over again and I don't see how he was "telling you how to play the game".



Please refrain from being so antagonistic. We're a friendly group of gamers and it looks to me as if Nasarog was simply trying to explain why the mechanic exists, not "tell you how to play the game".



I think we can all agree that there should be an option for those that don't like it.

The winter is a core mechanic of the game. That's why there is a rush in this game to survive/escape/win. The planet is dying.
