Hey everyone,

Thank you all for your participation in the first Quest of the Faction Creation Competition for Endless Legend. Believe it or not, we did not expect that many submissions in such a short time frame! Nosferatiel did an awesome job at ordering those for us (and all of you too) if you want to check them out: here's the overview listing. And you really should!

Indeed, as we mentioned in the previous thread, we have planned three Quests that will lead grant you this final reward: the community faction implemented in Endless Legend (amongst other cool stuff). But this is going to be a long journey as each quest are divided into three objectives. Here's a reminder:

THE QUESTS

Quest 1: The Biography

  • Submit a Name, a Background Story and a Basic Gameplay Idea. [COMPLETED]
  • Vote for your favourite proposal in the forum polls.
  • The best three submissions will be chosen for a GAMES2GETHER vote.

Quest 2: Hero, Units and City

  • Submit your Hero, Units and City based on the winning Biography.
  • Vote for your favourite proposal in the forum polls.
  • The best three submissions will be chosen for a GAMES2GETHER vote.

Quest 3: Logo and Ship

  • Submit your Logo and Ship based on the winning Biography, Hero, Units and City.
  • Vote for your favourite proposal in the forum polls.
  • The best three submissions will be chosen for a GAMES2GETHER vote.

THE VOTES

We are now at the second objective of the Quest 1: the Biography.

We are now asking you to vote for your favourite faction(s). You will be able to cast as many vote as you want BUT keep in mind that we will only choose the three factions that received the most votes for the GAMES2GETHER vote so we'll advise you to limit your choices to 10 factions max. You will see that suggestions were all given a number: it should make the voting process and your "vote for proposal #100" campaigns throughout the forums (or to your friends!) easier for all of us. smiley: smile

If you are wondering why your faction didn't make it to this poll, please refer to the contest rules: 2014_ Amplitude_Studios_Faction_Creation_Competition.pdf.

And, once again, thank you for taking part in this contest!

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Amplitude has the right to moderate proposals that are offensive, unrealistic in terms of scope, timing and vision. Amplitude will work with the winners to finalise the design and visuals, adapting the winning proposals to development constraints and to make sure they will be available in time for the release of the game.

DEADLINE

We will close the poll on May 14th, at 5pm CEST before moving on to the G2G vote.

The best thing about this poll:

It is open 'till the 14th.

That means I can spend a couple of sleepless nights agonizing about who to vote for.

And I thank everyone who votes for the Flayers. I am flattered smiley: smile

I also thank everyone who votes in general, regardless of what factions they vote for. With 99 submissions to choose from, simply the fact that people are taking the time to make a choice is awesome.

I had to make hard choices on what to vote x-x; I decided that I won't vote if faction posts don't contain even a mention of minor factions, but a quite a lot of ideas that were cool in my opinion didn't actually mention them in detail besides for small bonuses... I still vote on some ideas I found to be cool, but I'm now wondering if I should have voted otherwise and vote more choices than I did... I tried to limit my choices to three, but I ended up voting four choices but I'm now wondering if I should have voted more than that despite warning about more than 3 lessening impact of the votes...

Since I'm still not done reading through some of the later entries, I will vote at a later date smiley: smile It's going to be a super tough choice anyway. And I'm still deciding if I should go for 10 votes (to support all factions that I love) or 3 (to nominate Mesaima and 2 other factions that I also really like).

But guys, seriously, please vote for Mesaima! I will think warmly of you till the end of time if you do so <3

Most people didn't vote for a full 10 choices.

The first 2 voters voted for a total of 11 factions.

At 11 voters the total is just below 50 votes (I think 47 but I may have miscounted).

I actually think I should just vote quickly and not look at this poll ever again until the winners are announced. It's simply too stressful smiley: cry Argh, I must finish reading all the entries quickly!

You WANT to vote for Mesaima.

25 is your favorite number anyway, so why not vote for Mesaima?

Besides, you find Mesaima to be super cool.

Even if you are competing with Mesaima, you still want to vote for Mesaima because it's Mesaima

Mesaima. Your body. Their body. Their future.

Voting for Mesaima makes you feel nice inside

At least until Mesaima take over your body

But it's still a nice feeling so vote for Mesaima
