I still find it funny that Buzz's entry has more votes than mine... Despite it being my entry. I guess that really shows that since I suck as artist, I never really had chances... *shrugs*

I linked Telum's designs to a friend and he pointed out that they really look like Smough from Dark Souls. Of course that's still pretty cool.



Also as a fan of Ris of Legends I had to vote for CyberAnS's design.

As far as all the Horatio/Dark Souls/40k comparisons go. I kind of see it. Those are are all great inspirations when you mention them, so not a bad thing at all.

My designs still have miles to go, but I'm happy with the general feeling.



I also like what uriak, Sovereign, Bibool and Stealth_Hawk have going on.

Wish Stealth_Hawk added some character drawings too. Because dat holy temple city!

ofc I didn't think Vahouth's Automaton designs looked good either, but that turned out just fine

I don't doubt Amplitude and Telum will work together and end up with some great work, if they win (which doesn't seem unlikely) they do remind me of the Horatio. They seem to have similar features (including baldness )

To me telums guys faces remind me of that statue in amnesia the dark descent that has that creepy baby face, truly great work! Really creepy and cool.

Ha well thanks a lot I tried to keep in mind how they could appear in game, so I tried to give them a unity in their costumes and of course color scheme since they'Ill often will be seen from afar. I'll be honest and said I've thought too about adding faces to their armors or building to give them a creepy wibe (chronicles of Riddick) but actually I thought it would be less generic since the leaders may not be human like at all. So I rather settled on a more vibrant theme and used the persian imagery to convey a bit of their religious nature. without delving into the dark cultist cliché.

In the end it's actually an issue of going full robotic or not for this faction. I really wish we could have known what the others will actually look like beforehand.

Bibool is my favorite. That last picture of the daughter is awesome and I really like the city. I hope you win

I'm glad that all of top three did their own artwork. Well, mostly, Bibool has one image straight from deviantart and all of his drawings are almost directly copied from his deviantart picture inspirations, but still nice that there are no people who only used pictures from other artists on top three.

if we would mix the best designs the cultists would be awesome^^
