"21st september" was not just a rumor. One of the devs said on Steam that was what they were initially aiming for.

Which means that early access is delayed from that date.

I would just honestly like to know if it's happening the 21st or not. Silence always kills me. The wait is real!

Im not sure if Frogssquadron referred to the comment above or the original thread post. Considering steam got a reply feature incoroporating the post you replied to,  it could be he/she was not replying to the comment above him.

 Either way he didnt explicitly say the 21st september. Im not saying he/she did or did not mean to say they planned to release it on the 21st Im only saying there is room for interpretation.

Yeah, he may be answering to the OP. But he mentions a "date", not a "month", that what makes me think that it was roughly planned for the 21st. And he says "end of summer". Which is the 21st.

We can debate about the use of "explicitly", but I meant that it was more than just a rumor (if he was indeed replying to the comment above his, then I find it quite explicit, but that's really not important).

In any case, early access will not happen on the 21st, but later on. We need to be strong.

Well they said it would happen in september so we only have to wait 10 days more :P i mean i waited for this game since 2,015 waitin a week would be nice but a delay would suck :( 

At least they are willing to delay instead of pumping the EA out full of bugs (like some other strategy games which shall remain unnamed).

Tempest still has more than a few issues to go through though, so which one will be released first is still up for debate.

Sorry to break the news but I can confirm that Endless Space 2 is not releasing on Steam early access tomorrow. 

I was wondering where the September 21st rumour came from but now we know! :) I apologise for the confusion but we'll definitely warn you a bit ahead of the release, which is definitely not tomorrow. 

As some of you already know, we have a bunch of very lucky VIP players from the community who got to play the game and give us feedback on it; they are discussing with us if the build is ready for early access and our decision on the final release date will depend on that.

This is what I found on Steam. I guess that makes it "Semi-official"?

I hope they communicate on it soon. I would like to have a rough idea of when the early access is released.

There was an announce on Twitter (can check on wiki, but suspect everybody has Amplitude in twitter) that they'll go to EGX. This event take place between 22th and 25th of September (can check its web).

As I see no sense in showing a game that has been yet released as something new, I think its reasonable to suspect that they won't release it until EGX is finished.

A won't expect it before 26th of September, and they said it will be EA this month, so this most probably will be 26th to 30th.

I personally expect it to go into EA on the 30th of September.
