Also stellaris is a different game since there are no preset races there is a greater degree of customization which probably attracts a larger playerbase ( not that is a bad thing for ES since they are focused on less but more unique races which is great too).

Actually, Stellaris attracting me more than ES2, because I know how it works, and meet less annoying bugs. Not so much questions, and easy to find answer if any.

As a gamer I like to play games to have fun and I don`t like to investigate issues. Almost everything in Stellaris is clear without guides and works as intended.

Sooner or later ability "just to play" attracts more than amazing pictures.

Also, we stopped playing PvP in ES2 after several lost games. So, for now ES2 is only a single-player game in our eyes.

I wonder if Paradox could hire designers and artists from amplitude to develope a new strategic game - I think that would be a really Great game in my eyes....

I would like to see this happen, this game is great and deserves some more love. Also when ever I recommend this game to a friend I have to say "it`s a very good game but there a bugs". And then of course it makes you think about buying the next game of the studio.

Also wouldn`t it be possible to at least include the fixes of the mod community or make it so that they don`t disable the achivements? If they get include the moders should of course be rewarded with DLC, a game etc.

The way Amplitude address bugs is very bad. I'm used to VALVe games, where they can update TF2/Dota 2/CS:GO etc. 4 times a day just to address bugs. This is what they made Steam for. Amplitude, on the other hand, is hasitant to release dedicated updates for bugfixing, preferring to prepear batch of bugfixes coupled with new content. This stalls fix arrival for monthes, if not postpones it indefinitely, like now. It also fixes some problems and then replaces them with new.

Things started to look better at ES2 release, but then infamous "save corruption" bug happened and they rolled back to old scheme, to better test things before they go live. I think not all conclusions they came to out of that situation were right. While it is right to make torough testing, it is wrong to delay critical and not critical fixes alike because of it. Save corruption was an edge case with game engine bug, that could slip through even with current pipeline they use. If they used small update iterations, uncoupled to content release plans, ES2 would be in a much better state now.

This is important, because I can't see how development would go defferent with Humankind now. Amplitude must be more agile in the way they address bugs and balance issues in their games.

I don't mind abandoned games. ES1 is like that. But ES2 is still on sale. It would take less than a week to A) crowdsource a list of all known bugs, B) have a few people look at them all to see what the problems appear to be, fixing the easiest ones C) sort said list into "known easy & already fixed" (mod fixes), "known hard & not yet fixed," (eternal war+pacifist=~peace just alliance) and "unknown, probably hard" (the infamous tooltip bug). Then D) the community could help with the third category and help prioritize the middle group. Alot a week to the remaining bugs. Atleast this way people can compile a list of easiest work arounds for any unfinished work.

But not bothering with 2 weeks of the above to instead shrug and walk away while you are actively selling a product is bad for brand image. It looks like poor business management.

The most important thing in all this situation is to keep our squabble in the house, because if more than 220 people find out about this, then there may be consequences...

Would you say we are on a precipice of a critical mass?

Yeah, the critical mass of a feather, which allows it to fall off the bird, and be Gone with the Wind...

No-no-no, You did not catch the idea of all our fuss here! You HAVE TO BUY all DLC-s and other stuff, but only AFTER they finish the development of the game, fix all bugs and eliminate all the flaws.

I desperatly want to buy Awakening! Just can not allow it due to the principle of the sane customer.

I've had the base game with celestial vines dlc for awhile and it's a blast but some of the bugs feel real jarring, espically after playing Endless Legend. The fact that factions quest laws haven't been patched feels pretty bad and really turns me away from the other dlcs.

Groo's bugfix in the steam workshop fixes the faction quest laws.  I started running it and it helps alot.  In fact im seeing more and more multiplayer games where bugfix is the only mod.

The game has so many bugs, i have been playing since the beta and I love it and I had my moneys worth with the game hours I have dedicated to this game but it has so many bugs, right now I'm playing a game where I got stuck in turn 135 and I had to reinstall the previous patch to be able to play again, then I got into a space battle and the game froze for almost one minute and now I'm trying to invade a pirate hideout and it has taken forever for the game to load the ground battle, also some planetary anomalies don't display, planetary lights don't display correctly either, too many bugs.

I'm quite disappointed with the (final) patches. It feels more broken than before. Since it's my favourite game, I rolled back to one of the later patches for now.

As someone who bought all the Endless stuff out there, I'm a bit sad. You're not a big studio I know but I seriously hope that this isn't the end for ES2. (and I'm not talking about future dlcs or fancy stuff like that...)

What is the best patch to play right now? I want to play but I lost a Horatio game in turn 135 because I cant invade planets, the thing just loads forever and I don't want that to happen again.
