I think it varies from different races like UE would abuse and exploit native population to get more dust as amoebas would try to live in a peaceful coexistence, for example

How big are Amoeba's anyway? Are their ships just big exoskeletons? or are they comparable to us?

Amoebas would technically keep growing until death, depending on longevity, they might actually get to be fairly large...

Well they might be bigger than amoebas/amebas we know but still I can´t picture them as a size of a human.

How does endless space treat invasions?

Because i know that in the game you do indeed land troops onto the surface of a planet and such things, but to what extent? Logically you really wouldn't until the population has be subdued due to gorilla warfare and local resistance from the population, as it would be easier to instead just kill them all and move loyal citizens in.

However how do you think endless space does it? after-all it is a science fiction game so you can do whatever you want with it.

Would the nations in endless space use lighter troop drops on government and military centers to force a planet to surrender? or do they go the 40K route and go for a full planetary war with billions of troops and equipment, possibly due to the ineffectiveness of planetary bombardment outside of specialized weapons?

And i would love to hear the community's thoughts! smiley: cool

Using imagination and how I would design a ship size based on me being a fragile little ball of goo, I would think I might be the size of a bowling ball, maybe larger, on average.

Holy punctuation, one day I will learn your tricks...

I really wanna see a monster movie where a huge amoeba attacks a city and the government get a sower to fight it in had to hand combat....to the death!

So i think we can kinda conclude that Amoeba ground troops are all Gundams/Tau Mech Suits? sort of in-between regular ground based Infantry-Tank-VTOL and a Sower.

Shame, I kinda am hoping the Amoeba are like metroids when it comes to combat

Also i had a weird thought the other day, what if cravers don't use shuttles to get down to planets, but instead just 'jump' off of their ships and use jet-packs to slow down!

How awesome would that be?

They produce small talons on one end, possibly artificially lore-wise, and attach themselves to opposing forces, draining life and electricity into themselves to eliminate threats and heal/grow larger.
