Perhaps the new faction is the only faction in ES: D, which receives some defense bonuses when fighting within allied territory, because I believe both Alien Psychoanalysis (+20% allied territory Defense on Ships) and Alien Empathy (+20% allied territory Defense on Ships, +20% Trade Routes Bonuses per number of Allies on System) empire improvements don't provide any defense bonuses at all. Probably the improvements were implemented incorrectly (the defense bonus is applied to ClassShip instead of ClassFleet).

Same encounter, which took place on the orbit of my home system, same fleets. All the battle-cards were removed from the game. In the first screenshot my ships are supposed to receive +1% allied territory defense bonus from Alien Psychoanalysis, in the second one +99% allied territory defense bonus from Alien Psychoanalysis. Do you see any difference between the battle reports?







and here is what happened when I made the bonus from Alien Psychoanalysis apply to "ClassEmpire/ClassFleet" instead of "ClassEmpire//ClassShip"

It looks like my ships received some kind of defense bonus.
